MovePlan have been engaged by London Stock Exchange to manage internal moves in Paternoster Square due for completion in January 2010.  This win builds of previous projects undertaken for LSE including the original relocation project to Paternoster Square in 2003.

16/11/09                                                                   Irish Aviation Authority, Ireland

Following a public tender process, MovePlan were awarded the logistics consultancy contract by the Irish Aviation Authority in connection with their forthcoming head office relocation in Dublin.

MovePlan have been appointed to manage a relocation project for NOMS in Preston, further expanding our portfolio of government clients.

Building on recent record management projects, MovePlan have been appointed to undertake a filing consultancy project for the Electricity Supply Board.  A detailed filing audit, including updating of existing space plans in currently underway.

01/11/09                                                            Pharmaceutical Company, NY, USA

MovePlan have completed a large project for a pharmaceutical company, exiting three buildings and moving them into two brand-new buildings within the same campus.  The move schedule was vigorous with the majority of moves occurring in August and a final lab phase completed in late October.  A total of 750 personnel and over 100 labs were moved, including more than 10,000 assets.

Further to recent work undertaken for this client at their West London sites, MovePlan have been appointed to manage the internal moves of their UK Pharma Division.  An initial 250 staff will be relocated to allow for refurbishment work to begin.

MovePlan have been appointed to manage the restack of the Welwyn Garden City headquarters of Roche, one of the world's leading research-based healthcare companies.  The project involves internal moves for some 880 staff by the end of the year.

Working with Access, MovePlan have been appointed to manage the Document Management and Move Management workstreams of Glasgow City Council’s high profile Office Rationalisation Project. 

23/09/09                                                                 Scottish Courts Service, Scotland

Following successful completion of a number of projects for the Scottish Court Service’s Parliament House Redevelopment, MovePlan have been appointed by the Scottish Court Service’s HQ to manage the relocation of approximately 140 staff to their new HQ at Saughton House, Edinburgh.  The move is scheduled to take place late October, early November 2009.

The consolidation of four floors down to two was completed in early September in this fast paced re-stack project. With detailed planning, and teamwork, moves were completed during business hours, averaging less than 45 minutes of down time for each user moved and no downtime for the business as a whole.

MovePlan have been appointed as Move Management Consultants by the global energy research and consultancy firm, Wood Mackenzie.  The relocation of the Edinburgh office is scheduled to take place in summer 2010.

MovePlan has been awarded the contract to project manage the relocation of a medical appliances company in New Haven, Connecticut.  The relocation will involve the consolidation of several sites in one new facility and has an almost immediate start.

28/08/09                                                                        University of Strathclyde, UK

MovePlan has been appointed to project manage the relocation of the University of Strathclyde’s Library.  The refurbishment of the largest university library in the UK will take place over the next three years, and MovePlan will co-ordinate the relocation programme, liaising with the other consultants and contractors to ensure the fit-out programme dovetails with the bookstock migration.

28/08/09                            Financial Services Headquarters, Stamford CT, USA

MovePlan completed full occupation of the newly built Headquarters at the end of August with zero downtime to this Financial Company.  Bank employees from five different locations were relocated into this Gold LEED certified building over the course of the summer.  A key element to the success of the project was reduction of filing by 40%.

MovePlan has been appointed to co-ordinate the relocation of support staff at the University of the Arts to their new premises at 272 High Holborn.  The project will be delivered by early 2010 and further strengthens our education sector profile.

MovePlan has been Investors in People (IiP) accredited since 2000 and we are delighted to announce that following our recent examination, we have been successfully accredited for the third time.  This accreditation shows that, even in current financial climate, MovePlan is committed to its staff and that quality of staff is central to the quality of the move management services we provide.

30/07/09                                                                       Motherwell College, Scotland

Works commenced in 2007 on the new  Motherwell College, with the doors of the new state of the art teaching block, workshops, student residences and nursery opening in July 2009.  As well as being responsible for the move of over 500 academic and support staff, MovePlan successfully co-ordinated the College’s FF&E strategy, including furniture and equipment audits, support in assessing new furniture and equipment requirements, procurement of furniture and overseeing the installation phases.  The move itself took please over the course of one month with excellent feedback from staff and students.

 02/07/09                                                                  Etihad Airways, Abu Dhabi, UAE

We have just completed the final moves for the highly prestigious relocation project of Etihad’s head quarters in Abu Dhabi.  The project involved relocating 1,000 staff from 15 outgoing sites to 2 incoming sites and a logistically complex and fast track programme.  MovePlan not only undertook the move management element of the project, but also space planning and furniture management.

MovePlan completed the first stage of this multi-building restack over the summer. Working closely with the construction team, and with space now created, planning has begun for completing the remaining moves by early next year. A Records Management Program is now fully underway to reduce the need for file space on the floors.

The Client had a requirement to exit one site as part of their city centre property strategy.  MovePlan undertook the required detailed logistical planning and the co-ordination of the staff moves over a number of weekends.  All moves were completed successfully with staff working in their new locations within just minutes of arrival.

Over the past two past years, MovePlan has been helping to raise awareness of Breast Cancer.  In the USA the team have been supporting the Susan G. Komen Foundation, raising over $5,000 in a variety of events.  MovePlan has been supporting Breakthrough Breast Cancer in the UK and Action Breast Cancer in Ireland, where over £5,000 has been raised.
